Tuesday’s Tip

Protecting Adventure Dog’s paws for city, wintery walks:   Massaging petroleum jelly or other paw protectants into paw pads before going outside can help protect from salt and chemical agents. Booties provide even more coverage and can also prevent sand and salt from getting lodged between bare toes and causing irritation.

Tuesday Tip

Build a fire-raft when starting a fire in deep snow to avoid the cold snow from pulling the heat out of your kindling. Better yet, lay aluminum foil on top of that raft to reflect the heat up towards your tinder to keep the frozen logs from stealing the heat out of your flame.
